RecipesFull English breakfast omelette Full English breakfast omelette. by Tom Kerridge "I call this my Enligsh breakfast omelette but it really has more in common with a meaty Spanish tortilla. As well as the bacon and black pudding, I've ramped up the spice with chunks of chorizo and green chillies. For me, this is a go-to dish for Sunday brunches and midweek teas. Enjoy a healthy breakfast omelette at any time of day!
Breakfast omelette 🍳 instructions
- Prepare the ingredients and chop them into smaller pieces.
- I like to have full slice mushroom so I cooked them first before starting making the omelette.
- Heat a pan with butter pour egg mixture in it when it’s hot, maybe when the oil just starts to smoke..
- Add all the desired ingredients to one side of the circle. Put them on top of the egg while it’s cooking. Fold the egg when the bottom side is cooked. You can tell if the bottom side is cooked by gently lift a corner with your spatula, and check if it’s cooked. If you can lift it, and it’s not so runny, then it’s okay to fold..
- Serve on a plate and enjoy 😉 You can add some cheese, some chili to add some spicy, or some onion to add the crunchy mouthfeel..
Slide the omelette from the pan onto a warmed plate, tilting the pan so that the omelette folds nicely on the plate. At this point you can fill the omelette with whatever you like - some grated cheese, sliced ham, fresh herbs, sautéed mushrooms or smoked salmon all work well. Scatter the filling over the top of the omelette and fold gently in half with the spatula. Slide onto a plate to serve. This easy omelet will be a snap to fix for breakfast or dinner. —Agnes Ward, Stratford, Ontario.
